After having been disappointed by the last book in the series， I really enjoyed this one。 It was much more complex and more like the earlier books in the series where there was a lot going on with numerous plot lines and characters。 I’m hoping the last one was just an anomaly， and that the future books continue in this same vein。 Definitely looking forward to book 6 in the series。

I love this seriesEvery time I finish one of the books in this series， I'm a little upset。 I don't want to leave this world。 Bree has some kind of magic。 She can see ghosts and has all sorts of supernatural friends。 She's a bounty hunter for supes and lives in the coolest place for strange and unusual happenings， Savannah Georgia。In this book， there's a zombie uprising to deal with， which isn't easy when you're over 40 and trying to kick butt like an 18 year old。 Thank goodness for ibuprofen。Whi I love this seriesEvery time I finish one of the books in this series， I'm a little upset。 I don't want to leave this world。 Bree has some kind of magic。 She can see ghosts and has all sorts of supernatural friends。 She's a bounty hunter for supes and lives in the coolest place for strange and unusual happenings， Savannah Georgia。In this book， there's a zombie uprising to deal with， which isn't easy when you're over 40 and trying to kick butt like an 18 year old。 Thank goodness for ibuprofen。Whilst reading， I was destroyed by Bree's inner critic。 I think we all have those negative thoughts about ourselves at times。 Getting older isn't easy， especially when society places such importance on youth with everyone over a certain age labelled as past their prime。 Invalid。 There are a lot of jokes about aging in this series and it made me think about something my mom used to say， "I might look old， but I'm 18 in my mind。" In Bree's case， she's struggling with her body keeping up with her mind's desires。 Bree has an amazing capacity for love and she's been burned time and time again， so it killed me to see her struggle in this book， again。 Just when she begins to feel hope， it's dashed to pieces。 It's one of those stories where I want the heroine to find fulfillment in her single life with her friends because all these dudes are unworthy of her amazingness。 Anyway， I loved this book。 It's less romance and more women's fiction， but it's a great read with both funny and touching moments。 Definitely recommend this series if you like paranormal books featuring a plethora of supernatural beings and a badass heroine。 。。。more
